CNA Flashcards

The CNA exam is separated into two sections: written examination AND clinical skills test. The written portion uses a multiple-choice format to test your knowledge of nursing concepts. You have 90 minutes to complete 60 questions. The clinical skills test requires you to perform nursing tasks in front of an evaluator. You must demonstrate approximately five duties in 30 minutes. Although perfection is not anticipated when performing these tasks, you are expected to self-correct when necessary, and be accurate when performing the critical steps of the tasks. A minimum of 70% per section is typically a passing score.

Keep in mind that that each state has its own requirement regarding how much time you are allotted to complete both sections, as well as the percentage that constitutes a passing grade. The above guidelines are an approximation.

Cna Test Questions

The CNA certification exam, also known as the nurse aide assessment examination, or the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP), is the final test a nurse aide student must pass in order to become eligible for employment and for being listed on the Nurse Aide Registry of a particular state. The CNA certification exam is designed to evaluate the knowledge, skills and abilities required to safely perform the job of a nursing assistant. The evaluation consists of two main parts: a written or oral exam and a hands-on, skills examination. A nurse aide candidate who passes both the written and the skills evaluation qualifies for obtaining a state nurse aide certification and is eligible for any entry-level nurse aide position. The entity responsible for developing a nurse aide evaluation program which respects both federal and state regulations is the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. Here you can find many CNA practice tests with questions and answers, as well as nurse aide skills videos to serve as a guide and review base for your state exam.
